◎ Background/History: link
◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense? No

◎ Personality:
Looking at a lineup of the six identical Matsuno brothers, Todomatsu is pretty easily identifiable as the cute youngest brother. He's more fashion-forward than the rest, wearing cropped pants and hats and lots of pink, and his default expression is a pleasant, innocent-looking smile.

In some respects, he's also the most normal -- or at least socially acceptable -- of the brothers. He's the only one with a job (at a Starbucks equivalent), and during their yankee-swap Christmas gift exchange, while the recipients of all the other brothers' gifts dread seeing what's in their packages, the brother who gets Todomatsu's expresses relief, considering him the one safe option. He's always flirting with girls, and unlike the rest of his brothers, actually has some success.

Underneath the pleasant exterior, though, he is, in the words of his brothers, kind of a dried-up monster. He's the most independent but it's really only because he's the most selfish. There's a whole episode centered on the fact that he doesn't tell the others about anything he does -- whether it's taking up going to the gym or climbing Mt. Fuji alone. He says he just didn't think they'd be interested, and they point out that thinking that just means that if it were the other way around, he wouldn't have any interest in hearing the same things from them. He's also completely ashamed of his family, not even telling his coworkers that he has five identical brothers (or acknowledging the existence of one of them who runs into him while he's out on a date), and doing everything in his power to keep them from embarrassing him at work when they show up (like shoving them all toward a tiny table in the back corner near the restroom).

He's manipulative and self-serving, pretending to give up on a contest to decide which brothers get to keep living with their mother to make himself look more noble than the others, knowing that in doing so, he'll actually be the first one to be chosen. When Ichimatsu's cat gains the ability to sense and voice everyone's true thoughts and feelings, it shows that while Todomatsu is saying nice things about needing to look out for their brother's special friend so that bad people don't use him, he's really thinking about selling the cat to the circus for some quick cash. He'll band together with his brothers when it's useful for him, but he doesn't have much in the way of genuine loyalty or integrity (though he's not completely without attachment to them), and in most cases will drop them without a second thought if it's in his interest.

This isn't to say he's some devious mastermind, though. He's very immature and doesn't handle stress well, and is quick to lose his cool when pushed. All of the brothers are disappointed to find that their crush Totoko didn't invite them over for a one-on-one date, but his reaction is to cry while angrily swinging Jyushimatsu's baseball bat around. He's no good at mahjongg because even though bluffing is second nature to him, the pressure of the game always makes him crack before too long. He also gets scared when it's dark at night, and doesn't like getting up to go to the bathroom by himself.

He definitely can't take as good as he gives -- while he doesn't have many qualms about making anyone else feel bad, he's sensitive to criticism and insults himself, and tends to snap when he feels ganged up on. He gets extremely frustrated with everyone lecturing him on not being open enough with them and ends up "flipping some kind of weird switch" and going in the exact opposite direction, forcing them all to listen to him describe his weird fetishes and starting to rank his brothers in the order in which he likes them, until they frantically stop him out of fear of getting their feelings destroyed. He also gets really upset by the retort that as the youngest, he shouldn't have even been born, because it's lame to have an even number (which Jyushimatsu gleefully dubs the "Totty Shouldn't Exist Theory"), and spends most of the rest of the episode segment angry about it.

He also seems to be a little bit in denial about the kind of person he is, as he often seems surprised and hurt when he's called out for being basically soulless. Which really just goes to prove the point further -- he doesn't have enough of a sense of empathy to grasp how callous he is toward everyone else.

With all that said, though, as flippant and insincere as he can be (and is 98% of the time), he can stand his ground on occasion when he cares enough about the situation -- and sometimes he actually does care. The persuasiveness that he usually uses in more devious ways can also serve to inspire and convince others to make better choices even if they're harder, as when he acts as the voice of reason to bring everyone back from the Dayon civilization. In the second to last episode, he's disgusted with Osomatsu's behavior and unwillingness to see Choromatsu off when he moves out, and marches up to give him a hard whack with a rolled up magazine, getting a black eye in return. He then becomes the second one to move out, putting up with a small room in a decrepit old building that terrifies him at night for the sake of independence from his brothers but also, in some sense, for solidarity with them.

◎ Powers/Abilities: No supernatural powers or abilities. He's very good at "winning over hearts" and manipulating, though. He also apparently had the fortitude to climb Mt. Fuji by himself, so... that's impressive??
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory: Nothing special - a now non-operational smartphone and some pocket change is about it.

CEREALIA-Specific

◎ Element: Air - he's pretty cunning, but can be kind of flighty and changes his outward personality to fit the situation.
◎ Sense: Sight - he's more concerned about outward appearance than pretty much anything else.
◎ Seven Character Traits:
+ sociable, polite, independent
- two-faced, selfish, callous
+/- persuasive
